Thank you to all of our players, fans and families for supporting the Lambrick Pirates at last night's Andrew Reid Memorial Game. Special shout out to Tanya Garneau, Andrew's wife, who threw a strike for the ceremonial first pitch.
The Pirates won 6-2 after a tight pitcher's duel between Jason Gibson and Jordan Van Stone, with the Pirates finally getting runs on the board in the 5th inning to make it a 3-0 game. The Astros battled back with two of their own, but the Pirates got some insurance runs to carry them through to the victory.
A memorial plaque has been added to the left field fence of Joe Stephenson Field, formerly Lambrick Park Field, in honour of Andrew.
Photos and video will be posted to our Facebook page in the following days.
