Get ready to dust off your cleats and break out the mitts because the South Island Baseball League (SIBL) is gearing up for an exciting 2024 season! Baseball enthusiasts, mark your calendars as registration for the upcoming season opens on January 1st, 2024, at 9:00 am, and you won't want to miss your chance to be part of the action.
The SIBL will offer three distinct registration options:
18+ Division: Returning Players: For those who've already made their mark on the SIBL field, this category is exclusively for returning players in the 18+ division.
18+ Division: New Players: If you're a fresh face eager to join the SIBL family, the 18+ Division for new players is your gateway to showcasing your skills on the diamond.
40+ Division: New Players: Embracing the spirit of inclusivity, the SIBL opens its doors to players aged 40 and above, proving that passion for baseball knows no age limits.
With the SIBL's commitment to maintaining a competitive yet friendly atmosphere, limited spots are available for each team in all divisions. To ensure fair play, a waitlist will be created if needed. This waitlist will seamlessly integrate with the current Free Agent Listings, providing an additional avenue for players to find their ideal team. This process ensures a competitive balance as teams will be able to fill roster spots based on their positional needs. Unfortunately, this means that this process is also not first come, first serve.
The registration process easier than ever! Simply visit the SIBL website starting January 1st, 2024, at 9:00 am, where you'll find a user-friendly registration portal. Select your appropriate division , team, or more, and follow the step-by-step instructions to secure your spot in the league.
